Premier League: Arsenal 1-1 Liverpool

Liverpool remains top of the Leagues tables after 1-1 draw with Arsenal on November 3rd at Emirates Stadium. Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp commented that his team went a bit too easy on the Gunners in this match, as he thinks Arsenal are ‘in a very good moment’ right now.

Klopp’s side earned one point from this game which sent them back to the top of the league after briefly falling to the runner-up spot, but the manager’s post-game comments sounded as if he expected more from the team. However, he concluded with ‘A point at Arsenal will always be a good result, so we take that and move on.’

With 62% possession of the ball, it seemed as if Arsenal would dominate the game. However, the ball did not hit the net until after half-time, seconds after the hour mark, when Liverpool’s James Milner scored despite Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno’s efforts to save his side. The goal seemed to put Klopp’s side on the right track to victory, but the Gunners equalized the score in the 82nd minute with Alexandre Lacazette’s brilliantly executed finisher.

Both teams are still on unbeaten streaks after the draw at Emirates Stadium. Despite their history of 13 consecutive unbeaten games, Arsenal’s Emery regime is still in development, but fans are positive that this confrontation with Liverpool will offer them a better vision on what to focus on in the future.
