Liverpool beat NK Maribor by a 3-0 score in the Group E of the Champions League to raise their chances in advancing further in this competition on 1st of November.
The opener was fired by Mohamed Salah in the 49th minute to commence an aggravating beginning for the visitors. Emre Can doubled the score from James Milner’s pass 15 minutes afterwards. Daniel Sturridge executed the finisher in the 90th minute, to deflect any of opponents’ hopes for a comeback.
Liverpool could have gained another goal after the opener, as James Milner had an opportunity to convert a penalty. His effort was squandered by the visitors’ keeper, Jasmin Handanovic.

Though Liverpool easily won this one, they had many attempts that couldn’t be successfully executed. The first half became goalless and in the second they missed a penalty that could considerably increase the difference. However, they still did well to stress their opponents in the second half with their accuracy and creativity.
Liverpool leads the Group E with 8 points, and Sevilla, who have beaten up Spartak by a 2-1 score, follow-up by a difference of one point.
