Juventus Keeps 100% Winning Streak by Beating Udinese

Juventus marks their eighth consecutive win this season with a 2-0 victory over Udinese on September 6th. Cristiano Ronaldo scored a brilliant goal in the 37th minute, helping Juve maintain their 100% winning streak in the league.

Udinese’s goalkeeper Scuffet showed an excellent defensive performance, with the most impressive save being Joao Cancello’s attempt, however, even that couldn’t stand a chance before Juve’s offensive. The score opened with Rodrigo Bentacur’s goal in the 31st minute, closely followed by Cristiano Ronaldo in the 37th. Ronaldo was heavily involved in his side’s offensive, heading one chance over the bar just before scoring the second goal of the match from Mandzukic’s lay off. Two of his low strikes were saved by Scuffet in the second half, but the score remained the same to the end of the game.

The past week has been quite challenging for Massimiliano Allegri’s Juventus, and especially for Cristiano Ronaldo. Las Vegas police have reopened a 2009 sexual assault accusation investigation against the player on Tuesday, which has caused quite an uproar among fans. Ronaldo himself tweeted that he is denying all accusations, but following the news, sponsor Nike commented that they are ‘deeply concerned’ about the fact, and the player was not named in the Portugal squad for October’s internationals.
