Crystal Palace plays a draw against West Ham United in the Premier LeaguePosted: November 5, 2017
Crystal Palace led a dominating game against their opponents, West Ham United, and managed to snatch a late 2-2 equaliser to evade a critical loss on 28th of October.
West Ham started with Javier Hernandez’ opener in the 31st minute, which was followed by Andre Ayew’s 20-yard shot that gave them a convenient lead in the first half. With these two goals, their accuracy remained at 100% as they scored from both shots on target in this match.
However, Palace strengthened their defence in the second half and fired one back from Luka Milivojevic’s penalty after Angelo Ogbonna tackled Andros Townside inside the box five minutes after the break.
Wilfried Zaha became Palace’s hero in this match, as he managed to equalise the score in the 7th minute of the injury time, to offer his team a point and prevent another drastic loss.
West Ham, who has previously defeated Tottenham in the Carabao Cup, seemed to be able to offer more, but their performance struggled under Palace’s intense efforts. They remain 16th in the Premier League table with just one point above of relegation zone.
Palace remains at the bottom of the table, with five points behind West Ham. In this game, Zaha proved to be a crucial player, as he increased team’s proficiency after returning from injury. He was absent in most of their games, but in the game against Chelsea, and now with West Ham appearing in their top-form, he managed to provide decisive efforts and turn the tables on his team’s side.
